On October 23 we stand side by side with everyone who wants to resist the anti-social budget cuts of this outrageously right-wing government. The bill of the crisis weights down those who have nothing to do with its causes, and who can afford it the least; wage-earners, unemployed, students and migrants. At the same time, they can find money for buying new jet fighters, and hire another 3000 policemen. Further than an extra financial burden for the people, the purchase of the JSF cannot be seen separately from the creation of a new enemy in and outside the country. Islam as well as all non-European migrants are becoming the scapegoat of the eclectic Europe. By doing so, they are trying to hide the responsibilities of the corrupted core of the current state of affairs; corporate lobbies, banks and stock-holders. Moreover, they aim at distracting our attention from the ongoing attack on social centers, according to which the right for individual property outweighs the right for basic housing.
To promote this we want to build a movement that makes no compromises in the struggle against the austerity measures, fights decisively for justice in the world andseeks international solidarity! Moreover, we are working for a movement based on democratic principle that will not only ensure the participation of as many people as possible, but above all will be fully in the control of these people.
The manifestation of Rekening Retour starts at 13.00.
